Chick Fresh Fruit Platter

Here's what is great about these fresh fruit platters...a lot of people find them very do-able.  I know a lot of what I make for my blog involves pain-staking details that most people will admire, but maybe not think they could or world ever make themselves.  For this reason, I have really enjoyed creating these fruit platters for your Easter table inspiration. Not only do they add a bright pop of color, it's HEALTHY!

Here's a look at the fruit for the fruit platter.  I bought my usual fruit selection from Costco. I eat a  lot of fruit and this about a 2 week supply.  Pineapple, blueberries, strawberries, grapes, blackberries, raspberries, kiwi, clementines, and pears (didn't end up using pears or purple grapes but I will use them up).
Start by washing and cutting up the fruit that needs cut.  I  cut the pineapple into small pieces (you could also used diced canned pineapple).  The design is a chick carrying an Easter egg.  Start with the head and body of the chick out of pineapple:
Next, use colorful fruit to create the striped egg.  Think 3D here.  You want to pile the center higher than the edges so the platter doesn't look flat.
Two slices of clementines made the chick's beak:
I saved 2 big chunks of pineapple to create the chick's tail and arm.  I have this metal fruit cutter.  You can also use a paring knife to create the same shape.
Two smaller blueberries make the eyes.  The legs/feet are clementines.
Fill in the empty space with green fruit for the grass and blueberries for the sky:
Many of you have found my blog thanks to the Bunny Fresh Fruit Platter from last year.  Thank you for following me.
