Mardi Gras Mantel

With Mardi Gras coming up next week, we thought we'd switch out the Valentine's mantel with masks and beads to kick off March.  Although we've enjoyed a few warmer days lately, snow is still headed our way so it seems too early to decorate for Spring.

The draped beads really shine off the light of the candles.

It's fun and messy just like Mardi Gras.

The turquoise peacocks tie into the turquoise throw pillows.

Masks have been showing up the last couple of years with Halloween decor/costumes.  They are great to collect on clearance to save for Mardi Gras each year.

We have a fun weekend planned leading up to Fat Tuesday.  We may need a little fasting by Wednesday.  Do you enjoy any Fat Tuesday traditions?
