Changing the Color of the Front Door
I haven't changed it yet. The current door color is on the left and I've been playing with other colors. I picked up a dark charcoal gray exterior paint in the fall to paint the door in the spring. I was sure I liked dark charcoal gray- especially near Halloween when I was thinking orange/black/white wreaths. My two favorites are below...
I re-did my current wreath with bright spring/summer colors and added an ikat pouf from One King's Lane and new door mat from the Threshold Collection at Target. Isn't it crazy how well the accents go together??? Except for the color of the front door, so I thought I'd play in Photoshop.

Move over charcoal...I'm kinda crushing on the teal.
It goes so well with the accents and house color...
...but is it a year-round color? Here is the charcoal as a comparison:
I can picture the charcoal for September through February and the teal from March through August, but I'm not painting the door every 6 months.
Which color has your vote?
Teal or Charcoal
or one of the others?

ReplyDeleteTeal! Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this!! I too am trying to decide a color for my front door and this helps! Question: How do you keep your window panes from getting color in photoshop? I select my door but the pane gets colored as well. Any help would be apprecated!
ReplyDeletePS- I love the Teal!
