Almond Biscotti with Green Shamrocks
I'm getting ready to travel, so I thought I'd leave behind a few posts for the rest of the week. Before we travel, I had to make biscotti to take to one of my very best friends. It is one of her favorite treats and I can't wait to see her and hand it over.
I made half of the batch almond and the other half almond-cranberry. You can find the recipe in another post of mine, here. After the biscotti bakes at 350F for 35 minutes, remove from oven and cool.
Slice diagonal with a serrated knife and place flat side down on baking sheet to return to oven for 10 minutes. Flip biscotti after 10 minutes and continue baking another 5-10 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.
Melt a few green Wilton Candy Melts to pipe something fun for St. Patrick's Day.
Place melted candy in a Ziploc bag and make a small snip on one corner. You have to work quickly because the candy melts set up quickly. If the candy melts harden in your Ziploc, return to the microwave and remelt for a few seconds. How's that for a treat St. Patrick's morning?
