Ever avoid a certain cookie because you're not sure how to decorate it? I was feeling that way towards the deer.
My brothers had 4th season elk hunting tags this year and all they saw were a bunch of deer. The deer cookies should be in their honor.
It sort of looks like a deer, right? A fat deer? A cow-ish deer?
They belong in the forest...with the
squirrels.
It all worked out for the best.
The deer are frosted and then sprinkled with dark brown sugar with black sugar pearl eyes/nose and lighter brown frosting for the bellies and tails. Leaves are frosted yellow and then sprinkled with orange/yellow/red sanding sugar. The leaf veins are piped with brown, orange & red frosting.
