I bought this mirror via One Kings Lane many, many months ago. By the small photo on the site, I guessed more espresso/silver than the metallic gold, in person. I'm not a gold person. I tried placing the mirror in multiple spots around the house (originally intended for above the fireplace) and it just didn't do it for me, so the mirror sat propped against a wall until I could figure out where I could place it. As I was cleaning the playroom last week, I picked up the mirror and put it against the chocolate brown wall- nope...too dark. It gets lost.
After three coats of turquoise paint on a Friday night while listening to Rob Thomas radio on Pandora (and a white trimmed circle), it had a much more striking look against the dark wall.
The pattern of the mirror really works with the suzani pattern on the cushion and the color definitely pops.
This wall is getting one more big finishing touch by the end of this week or beginning of next. Click
