If only our mountains were covered in a swirl of snow like these chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting.
As usual, I fell short on time last night while preparing two dozen cupcakes. I should have preheated the oven prior to 9:30pm.
So, I loaded my baked cupcakes and other supplies to take to work. My sister gave me that cupcake decorator last year and I didn't even open it for over a year. Those big tips intimidated me. Now I love the thing. I refill every 4-5 cupcakes and it only takes a few minutes to frost 24 cupcakes AND it sort of makes me feel like the soft-serve ice cream lady when I swirl the frosting on top of the cupcake.
Toss a few sprinkles. You could stop there...
...but these cupcakes have bigger dreams.
