Custom fabric bulletin board

At first, I took the(cheap) black framed bulletin board hanging in the closet and painted it with the same Valspar Well Water paint I used on the jewelry box makeover, which was the same paint I used to hand paint on the kids' bathroom wall a couple of years ago. The paint did not adhere well to the cheap frame and I decided I didn't like the scale of it when I hung it anyway, so I had planned to create a fabric covered bulletin board instead.

I cut a piece of the fabric I used for the shelf curtain about an inch and a half larger than the size of foamcore I had from another frame I had tucked away for a "project".

With the front of the fabric facing the floor, I hot glued the top and bottom edge first- leaving about an inch and half at the ends so I could gallery wrap the edges. Tug at the fabric enough so it doesn't sag across the board, but not so much that it stretches the fabric.

Fold in the edge like you are wrapping a gift...

Fold the top flap down and secure with your thumb...

Then, fold the bottom flap up and over the top flap. Place a dot of hot glue under the flap and it should immediately secure the edge. Add more glue as needed, but there is no need to add any glue to the edge shown. Add the glue where my index finger is holding).

Glue down both sides...

Flip it around and you should have an upholstered board!

Most of the metal clips of the frame broke off when I was removing the foam core, so I just hot glued the upholstered board to the frame:
